Florida trial begins in governor’s lawsuit against Biden administration over migrants

In Florida, the trial began on the claim of the Governor of the State Ron Desantis against the U.S. President Joe Biden’s administration over the White House policy on illegal immigrants, reported the publication Politico.

It is noted that on Monday, a federal court in Pensacola, Florida, heard a hearing on the suit of the Republican Desantis. According to the newspaper, the governor of Florida claims that the Biden administration allows thousands of illegal immigrants to enter the U.S. every month, ignoring the policy of detention.

According to Florida’s deputy attorney general, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has systematically cut resources to detain undocumented migrants.

For their part, lawyers for the Biden administration said the number of migrants had been growing at the border for decades and no new policy pushing for their release had been adopted.

In September 2022, Governor Desantis airlifted about fifty illegals to the resort island of Martha’s Vineyard to protest the Democrats’ liberal migration policies.

White House spokeswoman Karin Jean-Pierre said the Biden administration did not seek understanding with Florida and Texas authorities expelling illegal migrants from their territory.
